A Faulty Chromosome - Craving to be Coddled So We Feel Fake-Safe

Last week I was introduced to a guy by the name of Josh who informed me that he had a label and that he had released on one album on it. That album is Craving to be Coddled So We Feel Fake-Safe by A Faulty Chromosome. Apparently it was released in 2009, but didn’t really make a splash. Although I can’t say why because it’s great. It could be because Josh is in his own words “analog” and refuses to seek out blogs or it could be because we are all idiots and it slipped through the cracks. Probably a combo of both. However, when I google them I do see a few scattered posts here and there so some people were paying attention.

The song above “Tippy-Toes” is my favorite off the album. I really enjoyed “Scoffers vs. Beasts” too. The whole album is definitely worth giving a listen. Also, Josh informed me that his next release will be from the guitarist of Snakes Say Hiss, Sam Bay. I got a little sneak peek of a track and it sounded quite lovely. It’s always nice when someone says their label is releasing good stuff and they live up to their word.
